Very hot cherry type pepper. Fruits of this mid-early variety are ripening from dark green to a very attractive red colour. Round fruits 2-3 cm long. Excellent quality for both green and red harvest. Stands adverse weather conditions very well. Scoville SHU 25 000.
1,0 g = 150-200 seeds.
* Growing pepper seedlings.
Water the seedlings 3-4 hours before transplanting. Transplant them into individual pots (optimally 8x8 cm or 10x10 cm) filled with a mixture similar to that in which the seeds were sown.
Water the soil: add 1 cup of diluted mullein or 1 tablespoon of urea to 10 liters of water. Plant the seedlings in depressions made in the center of the pot up to the cotyledon leaves. Shade the pots for 2-3 days to ensure better seedling survival, then place them on a windowsill.
Water the seedlings once a week (but do not overwater) with settled water at 25°C. The first feeding is done 10 days after planting: add 10 g of urea, 40 g of superphosphate, and 10 g of potassium salt to 10 liters of water.
The second feeding is done a week and a half after the first, doubling the phosphorus dose. The application rate is 1 liter per 10-12 plants. After feeding, water the plants with clean water.
Temperature regime for seedlings: during the first 4 days after transplanting, keep the temperature at +20°C to +22°C during the day and +18°C to +20°C at night.
Hardening off the seedlings is very important. This procedure begins approximately a week after transplanting. The seedlings are cooled for 2-3 hours at +13°C to +15°C for a week and a half. Repeat the procedure a week before transplanting the seedlings to their permanent location. The seedlings are moved to a warm place only at night.
